After four years of primary school, there are the following options:
- Continue on to the secondary school at the Montessori School Hausham;
- Change to a state middle school;
- Change to a secondary state school (Realschule or Gymnasium) this is dependent on participation in and passing a trial lesson in line with the requirements of the desired type of school.
For the continuation of the school career at our school, trust in the Montessori pedagogy is the central criterion. The young people who attend our school to the 9th or 10th grade, graduate with a school leaving certificate (see following sub-item).
If your child attends the trial lessons at a secondary school, then you have decided to move your child to another type of school. It is therefore not possible for your child to remain at our school. We would be happy to advise you on alternative routes. Please use our advice service in time to gain clarity about the right path for your child.
Please keep in mind that children of this age have a limited ability understand the implications of such a decision. We can advise you individually in a parent meeting. You are also welcome to observe and visit our secondary school. You can also get an overview of the possible educational paths and types of schools by attending the “information event on transfer to secondary schools” which is held by the Schlierach-Leitzach school association every school year.
